Mr. D arrived at the workshop with a very clear idea of what he wanted.

We worked together on the design of the frame´s geometry and we adjusted all dimensions following David´s experience and the sensations he had with his other bicycles.

We made an agile design, with a certain flexibility that would absorb the irregularities of broken ground and single tracks. It will also allow good speeds on paths with more stable surfaces.

The frame was made with Columbus XCR tubing. The highest quality range of the Milanese brand. We used this kind of tube looking for the properties that stainless steel offers. Higher durability, strength and stiffness as compared to other Columbus alloys and tube series.

A Ritchey Logic carbon fork with Paul Components´ Mini-V brakes were used  at the front side.

Several different sketches of the paint scheme had to be done before finding the right design. David wanted the frame as clean as possible, leaving the raw color of the steel and the silver-fillet brazed joints at sight, so we tried doing just a few details based on the colors of the saddle and handlebar tape. We finally used bright brown and black on the upper part of the top tube and the fork. The rest of the frame was left raw making emphasis on the stainless steel.

Fixedland Madrid made their magic putting together all the mechanical components.

The final result is a 7.6 kg stainless steel agile and light Cyclo-Cross bike.
